Hi. I’m Emily Farris, a writer, recipe developer, food and prop stylist, and potty mouth. I live in Kansas City, MO with my husband, our toddler son, and our two rowdy dogs.
In the fifth grade, I won the D.A.R.E. essay contest.
Since then, I’ve written for Bon Appeit, Food & Wine, The Cut, Midwest Living, Food 52, The Food Network, The Kitchn, CountryLiving.com, Gourmet.com, Urban Farm Magazine, BUST Magazine, ELLEDECOR.com, Women’s Wear Daily, The Daily Beast, The Huffington Post, CNN.com, Nerve.com, Edible Brooklyn and many publications and websites you’ve probably never heard of. My first cookbook, Casserole Crazy: Hot Stuff for Your Oven, was published by Penguin in 2008 and in 2011, my essay on finding affordable healthcare ended up in The BUST DIY Guide to Life.
For years, brands and websites have been paying me to create and photograph cocktails and cute crafts, so in the spring of 2017, I finally decided it was time to do it my own way: with lots of F-bombs.
I hope you find something you like here. And if not, I don’t really give a fuck.
